Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is centered in the Biblical teachings of our crucified and resurrected Jesus Christ. We confess Jesus Christ as God's only Son, our Savior and Lord!
We believe that He, the Son of God, lived for us, died for us, and rose again that we might have unending life with Him. He has done this for all of us!
We are His people. We are not a church full of perfect people - far from it! We are a group of sinners who know that, because of what Jesus Christ did for us, we have been forgiven. Our faith relationship with Him guides our lives - individually and as a congregation.
Shepherd of the Hills is a congregation of loving, caring, and committed Christians. Through faith in the Triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit we believe we will live with Him not by our own good works, because we are saved by the grace of God alone. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
We are a congregation with a purpose: "to seek the honor and Glory of God, to carry out his will, to manifest the unity of our faith in Jesus Christ as God and Savior, to spread the Kingdom of God and to foster Christian fellowship and love ... " (Constitution February 21,1984, Revised February 1993).
We are a congregation with a mission. Our mission is to carry out the Great Commission - proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people. (Matthew 28: 19)
We are a Congregation with a goal. With Christ's help we reach others for Jesus Christ. We do this through personal witness, the growth of our church, the planting of new churches, and support of district and synodical missions.
We believe that the Bible is God's own Word - all of it, not just some of it, and we believe it to be His inspired and unmistakable authority for faith and life.
